Sunday Morning

On Sunday we had to have our suitacases packed and put away in the main building so that the cleaners could prepare the rooms. After breakfast everyone went into the sudio for a session with Carol, David's wife. She was running the workshop today and had organised the tables and resources. It looked like it was going to be another creative activity. Mrs Bell took a photos of the handmade stamps Carol had made as she thought they were clever. Mrs Bell loves learning from other people, which is what family learing is all about.
Carol explained the task of making murals. She wanted to included some of the William Shrewsbury special symbols with them e.g our acorn sign. Soon there was a busy air of productivity going on. Carol, David, Mrs Hunter and Jessica went around helping different tables.
Mrs Bell did some 'blogging'!

I had a very lovely time at Pendrell hall. We had lots to do and see. The best bit was the nature trail, where we found lots of wonderful things.

Mrs. Bell!

It's been so difficult to contact you. I don't know whether you will see this but I must tell you that you taught me many years ago in Year 3 at Shobnall Primary School and had a great impact on my life! You have always been my favourite teacher and you unknowingly influenced me to become a primary school teacher myself. I just completed my PGCE at the University of Cambridge and I am now in my NQT year teaching my very own Year 1 class in Huntingdon.
I remember when you started up art club after school, you hung saris up in the classroom for our India topic and sometimes used to bring your sons in when they weren't at school.

I would love to hear back from you.

Sunny Madher.

I am now a headteacher in Tutbury and enjoying the challenges that brings!! Much harder dealing with adults than children. I loved my career at shobnall and will always remember it with pleasure. Y3 there was GREAT.......... keep up the good work.
